The principle behind nail lifting

When a nail curves downward, its edges press into the soft tissue beside it. Nail-lifting systems work by creating controlled upward tension across the nail surface, encouraging the nail plate to flatten as it grows.

Rather than forcing the nail into position, Pōdex™ uses transparent gel layers without visible braces to guide the nail gradually and comfortably.

The Pōdex™ 3-step system

Pōdex™ uses a three-step method that works together to lift, support, and protect the nail:

1. Prep
The Prep layer prepares the nail surface to ensure proper adhesion and even application.

2. Lift
The Lift layer is the core nail-lifting gel. Once cured under UV or LED light, it creates gentle upward tension across the nail, helping to reduce inward pressure and guide the nail toward a flatter shape. The more thin layers applied, the stronger the tension.

3. Seal
The Seal layer seals and stabilizes the correction, providing durability, smoothness, and everyday wear protection.

Each layer is cured under a UV/LED lamp to form a strong structure on the nail.

Why Pōdex™ is different from metal braces

Traditional nail-bracing systems use visible rigid wires, bands or clips to pull the nail outward. While some are effective, these devices can be bulky, unsightly, and uncomfortable for many users.

Pōdex™ offers a discreet alternative. The transparent gel sits directly on the nail surface, remains smooth to the touch, and is compatible with regular coloured nail polish. This allows nail correction to take place without the appearance or discomfort of external devices.
